Eat in OC Redesign

So I took some time the past couple weeks to work on doing a redesign.  I’m not fully done, since I still need to get some colors and a new banner for the site but the overall structure of the site shouldn’t be changing any time soon.  I’d love to get some feedback on what you think.

What do you think of the site redesign?

In addition share in the comments section below what you think could be done to improve this site for use in the future.  I’d love to hear feedback from the countless silent visitors that keep coming back!  Also if anyone wants to help me with a banner redesign, let me know.

  • I like the sleak and simplistic design, but the page is divided unnaturally. The right sidebar seems to take up almost half of the content but not quite. But overall, I love reading your site, so it must not be that big of an issue. :)
  • @Orange County Wedding Photography, That's one of those things I battle with, because I like having two columns in the sidebar. I tweaked it ever so slightly after you mentioned this, the left sidebar down from 195px to 160px, probably not noticeable.

Looks and loads just fine in both safari and firefox now. Nice job!
  • @Lapo, Great! Happy to hear it looks better. I really appreciate the feedback. Now if only I can make myself a banner for the top of the website! :)

My only problem is that on my MacBook 17", in order to load the page horizontally, the fonts become so small as to be hard to read. Safari 4 browser. A little better in Firefox
  • @Lapo, Awesome thank you very much for the input. I can only really go off of what I see on my computers at home or at work, so it's great to have extra eyes give me some feedback. I have adjusted the font sizes throughout the website to hopefully make the font more readable. Let me know how it looks.
