Del Taco Classic Tacos – Poll

Hello trusty readers!  The Mrs. and I decided to take advantage of the new and improved Taco Tuesday at Del Taco that I heard about from Nancy the Fast Food Maven.  And I come to you with the same questions she ran into, what really is the difference from a regular taco and classic taco?  Sure they claim that they have “twice” the meat, and “twice” the cheese, but they don’t appear to be different other then that the Classic Tacos have tomatoes and that they wrap them in old school “classic” Del Taco orange paper.

I’m disappointed with Del Taco and what appears to be false advertising.  The only thing there appears to be twice of is lettuce!

Del Taco seems notorious for that. I get frustrated when I pay .39 for extra Cheese on a .59 Taco and I still don’t get it. In a sense I’m paying more for the same Taco — That’s not cool!

I’ve only tried the hard shell Del Taco Classic tacos, and I can honestly say that they are stuffed to the gills with more meat, cheese, and everything else. I usually get the normal sized tacos, especially on Tuesdays, and I need eat around 10 just to get full. With the Classic tacos, I was pretty much satisfied after 3.
