WOW! Slater (if there is a real Slater) hit a grand slam here! He does for burgers what we do for Pizza & Hot Dogs at our Bistro (L.A. JAQX Bistro) at the Hilton in Clearwater Beach, FL. I know success and this place is for real! My wife & I we're visiting friends in OC and they suggested this place…nice move. I tried the “Thanksgiving feast Burger” and it was fantastic. It keeps a great holiday around all year! My wife thoroughly enjoyed the “Flaming Hot” Burger although, its not really flaming hot. She did say it was Flaming Good! We had the Grilled Artichoke Hearts and the Sweet Potato Fries…both good for extra bases! With a nice selection of beer…I give this place 4.5 BeefPigs out of 5. @ole: We actually went there again on Saturday night with my parents. Had a much better burger by just ordering the beef patty medium. The 50/50 is cool in concept but just doesn't really pull it off. Everyone liked their burgers a lot and my wife and I both agreed we actually like Slater's more then The Counter. Although I wouldn't not go to The Counter.

Sounds like you all had a good time. We tried Slater’s a few days ago. While the 50/50 is a cool idea, it was a bit underwhelming. I’d rather get a regular burger with bacon on top. I’ll try that next time. Overall, the food was good, but based on this first visit, I prefer The Counter for the build-your-own burger experience.

@niyaz: All you could see were onion straws! I don't even remember if there was actually grilled onions on it, but I know I ordered them, so they had to be somewhere!
