Taking A Look At The Growing Coffee Industry In The United States

If you’re looking for a nice cup of coffee to start out your day, you are certainly not alone. All throughout the United States, coffee lovers can be readily and easily found. As a matter of fact, more than half of the entire adult population will drink coffee on a daily basis. In addition to this, nearly an additional one third of the population will have coffee at least occasionally, even if they aren’t drinking it daily. And as up to half of the American population willingly consumes specialty coffee beverages like lattes, espresso shots, and cappuccinos, it is clear that wide array of coffee is available to be consumed. As a matter of fact, around one third of the sales from any given coffee shop will represent espresso based beverages like those mentioned above, with the rest of coffee sales made up of drip coffee beverages, which is standard but beloved fare, to say the very least on the subject.

In addition to this, coffee shops have branched out quite dramatically over the course of their history. Nowadays, you’ll be able to find far more than coffee at the typical independent coffee shop. Various teas are also likely to be found in the typical coffee shop location, and can provide the perfect alternative to those who do not like coffee. Tea is often much less caffeinated than coffee, but still provides a low level of caffeine. For someone who is sensitive to caffeine but still wants a morning pick me up, tea can provide the perfect alternative. And tea, much like coffee, comes in many varieties, where both flavor and caffeine content will vary. This makes it likely that everyone will be able to find at least one type of tea that they enjoy.

In addition to tea, various smoothies and cold drinks are likely offered as well. If you have a child in tow or are simply looking for something cool and refreshing on a hot summer’s day, such a beverage is ideal. Smoothies can also be a great way to consume fruits and vegetables throughout the day, something that a great many people certainly struggle with in day to day life. Therefore, coffee shops make a good deal of sales surrounding smoothies and other such non caffeinated beverages.

Even food offerings have become more popular at coffee shops than ever before. It only makes sense that this would be the case, however. After all, grabbing something to eat in the morning or while on lunch break is made all the easier by food offerings in various coffee shops. For instance, a cup of soup can be the perfect accompaniment for a beverage, especially if one is looking for a light lunch or midday snack. And soup is more popular than one might think, with as many as 10 billion total bowls of the stuff consumed over the course of the typical year. Getting soup in something like a paper soup cup is even better, as the paper soup cup allows the soup in question to be taken just about anywhere.

In addition to the paper soup cup, other supplies will certainly be necessary for the typical coffee shop not only to grow, but to thrive. For instance, white paper cups for coffee will be just as important as the paper soup cup. In fact, plain white paper cups for coffee will be even MORE important than the typical paper soup cup. Both serve the same role, however, as both paper soup cup and disposable coffee cup allow the items purchased to be taken off the premises. And as many people will be looking to stop into any given coffee shop while on the go, it makes sense that they would need disposable products like a white paper coffee cup or paper soup cup that they would be able to take with them.

At the end of the day, the growth of coffee shops throughout the country is clear. Already, independent coffee shops alone bring in around $12 billion a year. In the years that are ahead of us, however, such coffee shops are only likely to grow.
